SALEM, Wis. — Dan Roberts combined for 333 total yards running and passing to lead the Rock County Rage to a 33-27 victory over the Southern Lakes Blue Devils Saturday night in Ironman Football League action at Westosha Central High School.
Roberts connected for touchdown passes of 19 yards to Kyler Johnson, 7 yards to Codu Pfingston and 6 yards to Jermar Ayers, plus ran 18 yards for another score.
The Rage improved to 2-0 heading into a game Saturday at the Rockford Raptors. The game will be at 6 p.m. at Harlem High School in Machesney Park, Ill.
Against the Blue Devils, Trey Shaw also returned a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown.
The Rage never trailed as Roberts finished 11-of-14 passing for 157 yards and three TDs. He also rushed 10 times for 176 yards and the Rage piled up 390 yards in total offense.
Justin Vance blocked a Blue Devils’ conversion kick and helped lead a Rage defense that also got stellar performances from Cordell Dixon, Greg Davis and Nate Wallman.
